~Cure of Ars

~Patron of Parish Priests

St. John Vianney was a Catholic Priest in France in the 19th Century. After he was appointed to the town of Ars, he lived a lifestyle of radical prayer and fasting in order to bring his town to conversion. After word of this holy priest spread throughout France, up to 20,000 pilgrims each year came to Ars in order to receive his counsel. In the latter years of his life, St. John Vianney spent anywhere from 12-18 hours a day in the confessional and to this day is recognized as the patron saint of all parish priests. St. John Vianney, pray for us!

"Only after the Last Judgment will Mary get any rest; from now until then, she is much too busy with her children."

-St. John Vianney

St. Joseph
St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Chur

~Patron of the Universal Church

Throughout the entire New Testament St. Joseph says nothing, yet his silence speaks volumes. As we look to the Joseph of the Old Testament, Psalm 105 tells us that Pharaoh made Joseph "Lord over his household and ruler over all his possessions." Just as Pharaoh entrusted everything to the Old Testament Joseph in Genesis 41, so too did God the Father entrust to the Joseph of the New Testament His own two most prized possessions: Jesus and Mary. Let us also entrust to St. Joseph our own lives, that he may hear our prayers and bring them before the Throne of God.

"Go, then to Joseph, and do all that he shall say to you;
Go to Joseph, and obey him as Jesus and Mary obeyed him;
Go to Joseph, and speak to him as they spoke to him;
Go to Joseph, and consult him as they consulted him;
Go to Joseph, and honour him as they honoured him;

Go to Joseph, and be grateful to him as they were grateful to him;
Go to Joseph, and love him, as they love him still."
