Rarely used, but still on most state's statute book is the doctrine of posse comitatus, whereby the sheriff of a county or parish is empowered to call others to assist him/her in preserving peace during times of crisis. Pray for our Priests has formed a prayer posse to pray for the urgent needs of our clergy during times of their personal crises, as well as, praying for them on a routine basis. Members of the Prayer Posse will be notified via a bulk e-mail whenever any request for prayer is received . Prayer Posse members will be notified weekly for the routine request for prayers based upon the prayer calender provided by Contemplative Sisters Adorers of the Precious Blood.
